Dignity & Respect at Work: Bringing Workplace Policies to Life

September 30, 2026•2 min read

We were delighted to continue our partnership with 2K Games, delivering Dignity & Respect at Work training as part of its graduate programme.

This is our fourth year supporting the programme, and it is always rewarding to collaborate with graduates as they begin their careers and consider what dignity, respect and inclusion look like in everyday workplace interactions.

For us, Dignity & Respect training is about far more than knowing what a policy says.

Policies matter they set expectations, establish standards, and offer guidance when something goes wrong. But a policy alone cannot create a respectful workplace culture.

People bring that culture to life.

Culture is shaped by how we communicate, respond to difference, challenge our assumptions, and recognise the impact our behaviour can have on those around us.

Moving Beyond Policy

Our training brings Dignity & Respect policies into real workplace situations and conversations.

We explore dignity and respect at work, bullying and harassment, unconscious bias, workplace assumptions, and blind spots, as well as the crucial difference between intention and impact.

A central part of this work is helping people understand the why behind respectful and inclusive practice.

Someone may never intend to exclude, disrespect, or unsettle a colleague. Yet good intentions do not always determine how another person experiences an interaction.

Greater awareness gives people the opportunity to reflect, communicate differently and take more responsibility for the culture they help create.

From Compliance to Everyday Practice

Dignity and respect should not be discussed only when there is a complaint, conflict, or formal HR process.

An initiative-taking approach helps people understand expectations before difficulties arise.

It also creates space to discuss behaviours that sit in the grey areas: a joke that lands differently than intended, assumptions about someone’s abilities or circumstances, communication styles that exclude others, or patterns that gradually undermine a person’s sense of belonging and psychological safety.

When people understand the reasoning behind respectful and inclusive practice, policies become easier to put into action.

They stop being documents stored in a folder and start shaping how people work together every day.

We are proud to continue supporting 2K Games in embedding these conversations within its graduate programme and to celebrate our fourth year of working together.

At TSK Academy, we help organisations move beyond simply having a policy by showing people what dignity and respect look like in practice.

If your organisation would like to explore Dignity & Respect at Work training for your teams, we would be delighted to start a conversation.
