A Proud Milestone: Jeanette Delahunty Joins the Global Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers
TSK Academy is delighted to celebrate a significant professional achievement for our Founder and CEO, Jeanette Delahunty, who attended the prestigious Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) international training event in Lisbon, Portugal, from 19–23 October 2026.
Jeanette successfully completed the Training New Trainers (TNT) programme, marking an important milestone in her professional journey and becoming a member of the internationally recognised Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers.
What is MINT?
The Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) is an international organisation dedicated to promoting excellence in the practice, research, and training of Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Founded in 1997, MINT has grown into a global professional community of more than 1,700 members across 52 countries, representing a diverse range of professional backgrounds and areas of expertise.
Motivational Interviewing is an evidence-based, collaborative communication approach that supports people to explore change, strengthen motivation and make decisions that align with their own values and goals.
It is widely used across healthcare, mental health, education, social care, addiction services, and organisational settings.
Why is This Achievement Significant?
Becoming a member of MINT involves a rigorous application and selection process, including demonstrating practical competence in Motivational Interviewing.
Successful applicants are invited to complete the intensive three-day Training New Trainers programme, designed to further develop their ability to train others in MI.
Jeanette completed this programme in Lisbon from 19–21 October, followed by the international MINT Forum, held from 21–23 October 2026.
This achievement connects Jeanette with an international community of experienced MI trainers, practitioners and researchers committed to continuous learning, collaboration, and high-quality practice.
Bringing International Learning Back to Ireland
As a psychologist, neuroinclusion consultant and trainer, Jeanette has long championed approaches that place dignity, autonomy, empathy, and respect at the centre of professional practice.
Motivational Interviewing is a key foundation of her work through TSK Academy and Inclusive Mind Therapy Services.
Her training programmes integrate MI-consistent approaches with neuro-affirmative and trauma-informed practice, particularly when supporting neurodivergent individuals and professionals working across education, healthcare, homelessness, addiction, and community services.
This international achievement further strengthens Jeanette's commitment to bringing evidence-based, person-centred approaches into everyday professional practice.
A Commitment to Continuous Learning
For Jeanette, becoming a member of MINT is not simply a professional achievement. It represents an ongoing commitment to learning, reflection and improving how we communicate with and support others.
Through her continued work with TSK Academy, Jeanette looks forward to sharing the knowledge, experience and international connections gained through MINT, helping organisations and professionals across Ireland move beyond awareness towards meaningful, inclusive practice.
Congratulations, Jeanette, on this significant milestone!
